Application Of Photovoltaic Inverter Core Device IGBT in Photovoltaic Inverter
Sep 01, 2022
The photovoltaic inverter is a power electronic device that connects the solar photovoltaic panels and the power grid, and is one of the key devices in the entire photovoltaic power generation system. It mainly converts the direct current generated by the solar panels into the alternating current that can be connected to the grid through the power module. It is the "heart" of the photovoltaic power generation system; the inverter also undertakes important functions such as detecting the operation status of components, power grids, and cables, communicating with the outside world, and system safety steward.
As a power device, IGBT plays the role of power conversion and energy transmission in the inverter, and is the heart of the inverter.
The core utilization of IGBTs in photovoltaic inverters is reflected in four aspects: drive protection, over-current/short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, and mechanical fault protection.
